One (of the many) amazing things about working with a local business is the customer service from one real live person helping another. Our local t-shirt queen (that’s what we’re calling her anyway!) helped us look all over the place for the perfect T that was affordable, amazingly soft, held up to washing (long-lasting garments are a must!) AND ethically produced. We were tickled pink when we got the low down on these t’s.
The garment manufacturer is committed to conducting business in a socially responsible manner. This includes respect and support for international principles aimed at preventing and eradicating trafficking and slavery, child labor, discrimination, fair wages, and freedom of association. They are a member of the Sustainable Apparel Coalition and are committed to improving supply chain sustainability. The facility where our shirts are produced has invested in technology to build an effluent treatment plant to clean and reuse the water used in the dyeing process. They can now recycle 90% of the water used in the manufacturing process, with zero discharge to the surrounding environment! Oh, and they also planted over 2000 coconut trees and 3000 eucalyptus trees around the factory in order to lower its carbon footprint.
Featuring custom art by a local Denver artist (heck yeah for supporting #LocalArtists!), these make for one pretty awesome t-shirt, don’t you think?
