Calendula infused olive oil, aloe vera, and handmade oat milk are blended into this bar of pure bubbly bliss. Part of the Alō Pure line, this unscented bar it’s a perfect for sensitive skin and for those seeking a bar free of added fragrance. Use this bar from head to toe, in the shower, or by the sink for a soothing cleanse with each wash.
Suitable for those with sensitive skins, rough and hardy skins, and even for baby.
Oat milk is made from gluten-free oats which contain a natural skin-soothing protein which may relieve, soothe, and hydrate troubled skin. Oatmeal contains natural saponins that aid in removing excess oil and dirt while being gentle enough for the most sensitive skins or those with or irritated skin.
Calendula petals are infused into the base oils for each batch, and then ground and added to the final batter. They provide an extremely mild exfoliation and aid in boosting the appearance of your skin while soothing. Calendula is known for aiding in an even-toned skin, and even makes a wonderful tea (before it’s made into soap of course!)
Aloe Vera is used in every Alō Signature bar. It holds fond memories of my childhood, growing up in the desert, and provides a soothing feel to each and every bar of handmade soap. It’s a wonderful addition to soothe and hydrate sensitive and irritated skins.
Olive Oil creates a very gentle soap with a mild lather. Coconut Oil is added to help boost this bars lather as well as provide superior cleansing.
Soap ages, like a fine wine, but we recommend that you use your soap within one year of purchase. When a bar of our soap ages:
The scent and color changes on our sample bars will be more noticable and occur sooner than the full sized bars. This is due to an increased percentage of the surface area being exposed to air.
My favorite bar of soap is the first bar I ever made. My daughters and I spent months researching and collecting tools and materials with my husband. Our first soap then took us a full day to make. I’ll cherish those memories for the rest of my life. I still have a bar from that first batch and I use is once a year on my daughters birthday.Kandra, Owner and Soap Maker, Alō Goods
Short Answer: It depends on how often it’s used, and if it’s kept dry between uses.
When used at the sink for handwashing, a bar of our handmade soap will last 4-6 weeks or more. This assumes that the bar will
When used in the shower, a bar of soap will typically last between 3-5 weeks. This assumes that the bar is exposed to water longer than at the sink, and then multiple people are using the same bar to wash head to toe.
Compared to commercial “soaps”, natural soaps are normally softer as they retain their natural glycerin (commercial soap production removes the glycerine to sell as a separate product). Our soaps are also free from artificial hardening chemicals, synthetic waxes or free alkali.
No, there is no lye in our soap. However, all true soap is made through the saponification of oils with lye—either sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. Once saponified none of the lye remains, and the oils are turned into soap. You can read more how soap is made, cured, and cared for in these articles:
